Hmm -- I see date 2013 on this. Having just recently missed an important move in the market, I will contribute what I found.
Folks are asking for the developers to change things for alarms. You don't actually have to wait for Riflexo to change anything to get a really loud alarm sound.
At least for Samsung Galaxy S4 running KitKat 4.4.2 you only need to install a new loud sound file.
I went to Play store, searched on 'Loud Alarm' and selected "Loud Ringtones".
After installation, you will be offered the choice to make your selected loud sound file
a Ringtone, Notification, Alarm, or Contact. For T. Interceptor we want Notification.
Go ahead and send an SMS to the device or use a notify testing app. Be ready to
turn your volume down!
The file "Call to Arms" blows a bugle for 19 seconds!
As it stands, T.I. can't have it's own selected sound, we are putting a new louder sound
in for all notifications.
