The magnet icon is a snapping tool.When activated it snaps the price to the candle's high, low, close or high depending on the location of the graphical tool you draw (above or below the candle). If you move a finger very slowly while looking at the magnifying glass, you will be able to see when the magnet has snapped the candle's close or open, etc.
